The Tankers, the Ferries and the Shrimp Boats

Ferry passengers love a close look at big ships.
Someone must be feeding the birds.
It is almost like a dance!

The end of a long day of shrimping.
This was a particularly busy day for traffic on the Gulf - going into Galveston Bay. Riding on the ferry is a place to see everything from dolphins playing in front of the boat to a behemoth cruise ship lumbering out of the harbor. At times, the ferry must turn out of the way for crossing traffic.

Funny, I've never seen a tanker get out of the way of a ferry...

The ferries cross the shipping lane - come what may.

This shrimp boat is going out for another run.

But it seems this tanker is in the way...

Oh, I guess not. The way is clear now.
And the ferries continue their back-and-forth journeys.
