I was Saturday night. Since Monday would be the 4th of July, the town council had decreed that (as in the past several years) on this night, anyone with a vintage vehicle they wanted to show could do so in a slow parade up and down main street. After a while, all the vehicles would be parked in the middle of the street and the public could look them over. Here are a few that I saw this year.
But then - - - what did our eyes discover?

Women, mud werestling? A motorcycle gang?

This takes energy conservation to a new level.
The village bought the barn and did a lot of work to get it ready for children. They even thought of putting solar panels on the roof to help with the cost of heating.
Where there once was hay and cows, now there is a large open space for kids to play.
In the ceiling, the peak of the barn became a huge skylite to throw natural lighting everywhere.
And the classrooms all around the edge of the building all have large windows and are set up for great learning.
